Cyber Catalyst Talent Solutions is seeking Online Instructors to support learners across our cybersecurity, networking, and digital technology workforce readiness programs. These roles are central to empowering members of the Military Veteran Family Community, as they advance in, or prepare for, careers in the Canadian digital workforce.
This is not a traditional lecture‑based teaching position. Instructors facilitate learning in an asynchronous online environment, support skill development, and guide learners toward industry‑recognized certifications and career readiness. This is a part‑time contract role with hours that may vary based on program needs. As Cyber Catalyst delivers programming across multiple time zones nationally, work schedules may occasionally include evening or non‑standard office hours.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Learning Support
- Guide learners through online modules and hands-on labs
- Support comprehension of technical concepts and course materials
- Answer learner questions and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Host scheduled virtual office hours or support sessions
- Encourage persistence, problem-solving, and confidence-building
- Provide insights on certifications, skills pathways, and industry expectations
Online Learning Environment Engagement
- Monitor discussion forums and communication channels
- Foster a supportive and respectful online community
- Ensure consistent, timely responses to learner inquiries
Assessment & Progress Monitoring
- Review assignments and assessments
- Track learner progress and identify where support is needed
- Promote course completion and certification readiness
Collaboration & Program Support
- Share feedback on curriculum improvements
- Participate in instructor meetings and briefings
- Support continuous enhancement of learner experience
Qualifications
Required
- Experience in cybersecurity, networking, software development, or related technical fields
- Experience teaching, mentoring, coaching, or supporting adult learners
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to support learners in remote, asynchronous settings
Preferred
- Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CyberOps, Fortinet NSE, CISSP, CCNA, Python, DevSec)
- Experience with online Learning Management Systems
